Band Manager Ted Henry is a Nuclear Scientist with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency in Springfield, Illinois. He is the Senior Health Physicist working in the Division of Radioactive Materials, Licensing Section. When not responding to emergency calls, Col. Henry is the commanding officer for the 10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry Regiment.

Ted holds an Associate in Science degree from Lincoln Land Community College, Bachelor of Arts degree from Sangamon State University (Now UIS) and a Masters in Theoretical Physics from the University of Illinois. Ted also holds a second Masters Degree in Business from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His interest in the Civil War began during his grade school days, and in 2004, Ted started participating in re-enactments when he met his wife Dawn, who is a member of the 33rd Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment Band and the 10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry Band.

Colonel Henry does living history presentations in the persona of Col. Dudley Wickersham who was commanding officer for the original 10th Cavalry Regiment. Col. Henry has been the band's manager from its beginning and shares an avid love of period music with his wife and family. His brother-in-law rides with the mounted 10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry.

Ted has three children. Michael is married to Sabrina and they are the parents of his two grandchildren, Jocelyn and Braeden. They live in Moab, Utah, where Michael is chief security officer for the Arches National Park. Kristopher lives in Springfield and is groundskeeper for the Springfield Park District Golf Courses. Alison attends Southeast High School in Springfield and is a member of the reigning National ASA Championship Softball team. Alison also enjoys participating in Civil War re-enactments and dancing at the gala balls.
