Kurt Niehaus
Kurt Niehaus grew up in Springfield and attended Southeast High School.
He studied trombone with Dr. Robert Weiss at Southern Illinois University in
Carbondale and with Dr. Gary Shaw at Millikin University.
A versatile musician, Kurt performs with the Springfield Municipal Band on
clarinet, and has played tenor horn with the Heartland Brass Band. In the 10th
Cavalry Band, Kurt plays a reproduction over-the-shoulder tenor horn, made to
the exact specifications of the original horns.
Kurt loves music, basketball, and his dog, Charlie.
