Gerald "Jerry" Theobald
Jerry lives in rural Buffalo, Illinois, where he farms soybeans and corn. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agricultural Education. He played with the Marching Illini when in 1964, they marched in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Over the past 20 years, he has played with the 144th National Guard Band, the Springfield Municipal Band, the Heartland Brass, and the Calvary Temple Band.

In the 10th Cavalry Band, Jerry plays a reproduction over-the-shoulder B flat cornet made to the exact specifications of the original used in the 1860's. He lives with his wife Joan, and has 4 grown daughters and 6 grandchildren. As a farmer, his hobby is...farming. And music.
